At this point, I would like to thank the fabulous Ellen Burne, whose blogsite Travelling The World Solo inspired me to realize this trip of a lifetime and guided me through the planning phase. Thank you Ellen!
I would also like to thank Simon and Paarnaq, my lovely guides at World of Greenland, whose wisdom and company I enjoyed immensely on the hikes from EQI Glacier Camp.
As is usually the case with my solo trips, I made new friends – including native and teacher Margrethe Løvstrøm, who showed me Greenlandic crafts and explained to me the nutritional values in local diets.
Ariel, from Taiwan, who quit her stressful job in May and started traveling the world. After being retained twice at the border of Morocco and endured the rough conditions in the African safari, she is now on her way to South America.
Dominique and Jocelyne – a hilarious French couple from Paris- who taught me to say “Tais-toi!” and whose down to earth nature puts my four star hotel requirement to shame.
And last but not least, an Australian couple, whom I met on the boat to EQI and again back in Ilulissat. Our hike on the yellow trail was one of the lasting memories of the trip.
Bye bye Greenland. I am forever under the spell of your natural beauty and I will be back!

I want to go sometime. I had a chance to go to E. Greenland once for work and passed on it (for stupid career reasons).

There’s still plenty of time. I shortened my trip too due to stupid career reasons. Many regrets but more reasons to go back 🙂
