Skincare and Travel

My friend Michelle works at one of the biggest fashion retailers in the US. Not only does she dress in fine cloths, she also maintains the perfect skin. A couple of days ago she sent me a text recommending a mask for long-haul flights. I asked her to be the guest of my blog and share about her experience. Here is what she wrote:

We all know how dry and dull our face can get after just a few hours on the plane, not to mention those long international flights.  Even with heavy moisturizer, it still doesn’t help.  Here is an easy trick to get soft dewy skin after a long flight – apply a generous layer of cream mask before your flight and keep it on (don’t wash it off) until getting to your destination.  It does the magic.  For the type of mask, I prefer all natural brands with less chemical/synthetic ingredients, such as Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask (you will love the delicate smell), or Chantecaille Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask (as the name implies, it is also great for after sun exposure).

  4. Enjoyed your post! Of course, I’ve been to the store in Florence, but now you have given me NEW ideas for other destinations. Also liked the idea of the mask, will have to try that! How about a post on packing. I keep trying to go light, so luggage is not heavy, but still want some quality pieces of clothing, so I don’t look like a tourist. Maybe you’ve mastered this?

      1. That would be great! I mean… I’ve traveled enough to know what to do, but I’d like to be EVEN better at it. For example, with technology, how do we keep our phones charged. I always run out of memory for photos on my phone when traveling. Would love advice on a small camera, which is good to use. I still am not good at knowing how I can get my phone to work abroad with ALL the extra data charges. I do try to use Wifi, but I don’t think that is secure when we need to use our credit card to purchase an extra flight or something like that, which we must do online. You travel a lot, I bet you would have some pointers. Would LOVE to hear them. Always enjoy your posts!
